Stephen Chin, whom I've previously featured on this blog in the context of WidgetFX, etc., has created a handy reference for migrating from the JavaFX Preview Release to JavaFX SDK 1.0.
Please check out this useful resource, and give Stephen your feedback and appreciation!
Pro JavaFX Book Announcement
Just wanted to mention that Weiqi Gao, Stephen Chin and I are in the process of writing a book entitled Pro JavaFX Platform: Script, Desktop and Mobile RIA with Java Technology, which will be released in the first half of 2009.
It is a very comprehensive guide to JavaFX, and if there are any JavaFX topics to which you'd like us pay particular attention, please leave a comment.
Regards,
Jim Weaver

I look forward to the book.
Very little of my day to day work involves media and animation. It would be fun/helpful to see what benefits JavaFX will bring to the dreary world of spreadsheet accounting forms and reporting.
I would like to see an in-depth example of how to represent data in tables. I would also like to see some sharp charting capability tied to a table or collection of tables. Or a table of data tied into google earth plug-in or other mapping tool for that matter.
Can JavaFX breath life into burned out world of accounting? I think it can.
