The brilliant baseball player and manager, Yogi Berra, known for his pithy and paradoxical quotes once said:
"When you come to a fork in the road, take it"
Last week I came to a fork in the road as a result of being suddenly and involuntarily separated from Oracle. The outpouring of kind words, offers of assistance, and leads for employment from the Java community (see Best.Developer.Community.Ever) were overwhelming.
The fork I took is an exciting opportunity with a very impressive and nimble company named Pivotal. I'm now a developer evangelist at Pivotal with the privilege of working with the likes of Josh Long, Matt Stine, Kenny Bastani, Andrew Clay Shafer, and former Oracle colleague Mark Heckler.
I look forward to my continued interactions with you, the Java community!
All the best,
James Weaver
